Recorded in 2003 and released the same year on the compilation CD "Electric Leak – The North of It" issued by Office for Contemporary Art Norway in collaboration with Ballongmagasinet.
"In the early 1970's my father, then a news journalist in Helsinki, was specializing in Latin America. Thirty years later, after having watched BBC's coverage from the Iraqi War for weeks I decided to revisit his old reel-to-reel tapes. One of them contained the audio track of some unedited TV news from the first days of Chile's bloody military coup staged in 1973 by the Nixon administration. The recording was made outside the National Stadium, which had been turned into a concentration camp. I used the tape as source material for my contribution to this compilation. The voices at the end of the track are Eurovision satellite link technicians confirming that the news exchange material had been successfully transmitted to different TV companies of Europe."
